About Me

I am Basit Manham, a philosophical counselor helping people navigate life’s complexities through open dialogue and structured inquiry.

Leaving my religious upbringing at eighteen meant rebuilding my worldview and values from the ground up. Navigating these early existential crises and building alternative relationship structures taught me firsthand how to examine deeply held beliefs, resolve conflicting values, and choose one’s own path.

While my approach is rooted in philosophy, over a decade of personal experience as a psychotherapy client gives me deep empathy for feeling stuck. I strive to provide the warm, non-judgmental space essential for clarity and growth.

Outside my private philosophical counseling practice, I run Useful Philosophy, hosting bi-weekly cafes to make philosophical inquiry accessible to everyone.

Whether you are facing a difficult moral dilemma, navigating complex relationships, or simply looking for a space to be heard, my goal is simple: to think alongside you.
